IBA Logo

Saturday, August 11th.

An IBA Pre-Approved Ride.  We do the paperwork, and you concentrate on the ride.

All Riders and Passengers ( Canadian, Canadien, and U.S. ) and all makes of Bikes and Trikes are welcome.

Ride departs & ends in Huntsville, Ontario at the Tim Horton's on the east side of Hwy 11, just off W Road ( about 85KM north of Orilla ).

If possible, Meet and Greet Friday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Boston Pizza on John Street, just off Main Street in beautiful downtown Huntsville.

The ride starts at 6:30 am on Saturday, August 11th.  Please arrive by 6:00 am to have your odometer reading recorded and for a short meeting.

There are several motels nearby off HWY 11 and in downtown Huntsville.  It may be a good idea to make reservations ASAP.  I have received some feedback that motels in the area may be booked full early in the year since this is a resort and recreation area.

For Riders that are interested in arriving in Huntville a day or two early, Adrian is working on a plan for a relaxing sightseeing ride in the area.   Contact Adrian if you want to learn more.

For U.S. Riders :

Have your Passport, Michigan Enhanced Driver's License, Nexus Card, or use the Two Document Option - a Driver's License and Birth Certificate  for crossing into Canada .

See :  U.S. and Canadian Citizens—-Two Document Option )

From the Canada Border Services Agency ( CBSA ) webpage :

" If you are a citizen of the United States, you do not need a passport to enter Canada. However, you should carry proof of your citizenship, such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, as well as photo identification. "

And a US Border and Custom's Supervisor I talked to at the  Grand Portage, MN entry point told me a U.S. Citizen will never be refused entry to the USA without a passport,  passport card, Nexus card, or Enhanced Driver's license if that citizen can prove their citizenship with a birth certificate and picture ID ( driver's license).

Also, you should carry proof of insurance coverage in Canada ( obtain from your insurance company or agent ).  This is not a rider to your policy or extra coverage, only a card that your insurance company will provide to you.  Called a "Canada Non-Resident Inter-Province Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Card".

Also be advised if you have ever been convictd of a DUI or felony, you will almost certainly not be allowed to enter Canada.  The border agents do a computer check on all US citizens entering Canada.

Also check to find out if your medical coverage is good in Canada.
