Terrie

"I have been trying to decide how to say this.  In Feb, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  They said I would have to have a mastectomy, radiation, chemo, and no nodes were affected.  Last week, I meet the surgeon and all the tests are completed, for the last time I hope as they found another lump.  My surgery is on May 29.  The doctor said the second lump is an infection, I will have a lumpectomy, some nodes removed but they are not cancerous, and radiation, no chemo.  This has to be an act of God.   There was no way this was going to happen without God intervening.  It is the prayers that have kept me from the worst possible surgery for me and the chemo.  I do not heal well at all and contract staf infections easily.  Please continue to pray for me as this goes on for 2 or 3 more months.  I thank you so much for all the prayers!  I was afraid to write this as I thought they would call me back and say they made a mistake!!" - Your Friend, Terrie

"I think I have emailed many of you for my friend's dad, his name is Glenn. Amazing man of God.  He has cancer and had cancer previously in his pancreas and it was removed. It came back aggressively a matter of months ago and was not treatable. Been praying continuously. I was contacted by one of the family tonight to say that 'it is not long now'. :(  They have asked for prayer for comfort and peace for him and their family. So indeed do please pray! I am still believing for a miracle." - Lana

Fred

Our family is in need of the LORD'S healing power tonight. Our car was hit in the passenger side doors by a vehicle traveling dangerously fast on wet roads this evening. My wife, Stephanie, adult son, Fred jr, and adult daughter Roberta were taken by ambulance to the Winter Haven, Florida emergency room, after our car was totaled in that wreck, and the jaws of life was used to get me, Fred SR, out of the tangled mess. My wife suffered chest wall contusions, Fred JR suffered lacerations to the right temple, Roberta suffered a sprained right knee, and I suffered contusions to the ribs. After approximately 5 hours of treatment, we were all dismissed from the e.r. Please pray that the insurance will provide a rental vehicle and that the settlement will enable us to get another vehicle. Thank you for your prayers. Fred Metz, Sr. walkwithchrist@tampabay.rr.com

Mary

"Mary is in the hospital in Arizona.  She has Atrial Fibrillation and they just can't seem to get her heart to regular rhythm, even though they have done various procedures. Her husband,  Don, spoke to my friends tonight, and they are planning on doing a procedure on Tuesday, which the doctors say is the last one that they can do for her.  Please join in prayer for Mary, and her husband Don, asking Jesus to touch her, heal her, grant her strength, comfort and console both of them.  Thank you for your prayerful support.

God Bless and remember..............."

Jimmie Warren

"I am asking for prayer for my sons.  First my youngest, Victor, he is so stressed out over a new girl friend, two jobs and a car that needs lots of work. He said he is having bad thoughts all the time, which I believe is from Satan.  He thinks and has talked about suicide, which is from the devil, so I am asking in the name of Jesus to please carry him up for safety and peace of mind.  He is a great guy and cares for others a great deal hold him in your prayer for he needs the Lord in his life. My other son is Grant.  He is battling Alcohol and admits he can't fight the urge.  He is only 35 and the doctors say that if he doesn't cut down or quit he may only have 5 years left.  He needs Jesus. He believes he just hasn't turned his life over yet.  Please carry them up in your prayers. Thank you and keep us all in your prayers."

Michael Miller

"Beloved brothers and sisters in Messiah Yeshua:
Please pray for little Sarah Vecseri.  This precious 3-year-old was helping her mommy do some juicing for the family dinner, and when her mother turned her back for just a moment, she got her fingers trapped in the machinery.  Three fingers were ripped off and the doctors didn't feel that it was worthwhile trying to reattach them.  The parents insisted, and they have been sewn back on, but there remains a serious question as to whether blood flow will restart and as to whether the tendons and nerves can be reattached.  Please hold her up to the Throne of Grace that she (and her parents) will find help in time of great need!!
Bless you all!!"

Rich,

"Our son just phoned. His best friend, Rich, 37 years of age, was just diagnosed with an aggressive form of skin cancer on his nose and he has been a 20% chance of recovery. His father knew the Lord but I am not so sure about Rich. We have known him since he was a child. Please pray for the Lord to touch him with salvation as well as healing. He is going to Alberta tomorrow for aggressive chemotherapy. Please agree for total healing from the Lord Jesus. Rich is a young Daddy so this is a hard one for his family.

Thanks for caring so much. Bless you, Judy"

Steve,  mydastrust@hotmail.com

3 months ago I had serious chest pains and was transported from the local ER to a nearby hospital for observation. Since then I haven't worked. I've been taking thousands of milligrams of enzymes and herbal heart med's. If someone would like to pray, please let them know. These med's cost $150 a month. This is a genuine need. Sincerely in Christ, Steve.

Judy

"My husband's mother is dying. She is 87 and has suffered so much with so many things and she Is in the hospital and is asking for her kids to come to meet with her.  We do believe that she is ready to meet the Lord Jesus and we also do believe that when she is ready to let go and go home it will be a peaceful passing. My husband is the only Christian in all of his family but his mother did pray with us to accept the Lord Jesus. The rest of the family are definitely not and not too much sympathetic to things spiritual. There is so much bitterness and unforgiveness in all of his family that it is so sad. Please pray for the Lord to touch all of the family with the love that drew Jesus Christ to the cross for them.  My husband is the eldest and the only son and is very close to his mother so it will be so hard on him as well. His sisters will also be hard hit as they have had her in their lives every day of their lives in the same city. Mom knows that her time is near and I also do believe that the Lord is preparing her.  Thank you for caring and praying. For me, I love her so much. She has been my mom for over 40 years and we have always been very close so it will be a hard thing to let go of her. Again, thanks. Judy."

"We are in the midst of a lot of changes, I presently have my house for sale and am looking to move somewhere that I could pay the house off with the proceeds of this house if it sells. My goal is to be debt free since we are pretty frugal and don't require much to live on. I do have a small pension, but am looking for work where ever we do end up. I was a letter carrier for @ 20 years, am currently and have been a liscensed real estate agent in the state of Pennsylvania for 12 years, and worked the last 3 years as a high school facilitator in a private Christian school. We have also had a home fellowship in our house for the past 14 years, although we are connected to an organized church, it is the closest thing to a house church that I have been able to find out this way. I'm not sure where we are headed, we are just trying to follow as the Lord leads. and also trying to break free from all the materialism of the rat race. I guess I need prayer more than anything else because I'm just not sure about anything. My wife is from the Philippines and our two sons are multicultural teenagers and will need work too. Any suggestions or offers, feel free to call or email. And please any prayers would be greatly appreciated. If it is the Lord's will we stay put I am open to that too but will need work in the Philadelphia area if that is the case."

Randy

This morning early my husband (Randy) was unloading his truck load of nursery stock when the chain that the unloader was using snapped and he was flung onto the ground. His left arm is broken for sure and I am not sure what else is bruised. He still has the rest of his load to unload and then some way get back home as he probably cannot drive at all. A good friend is taking him to the hospital to get the necessary medical help for him and then maybe he will also finish unloading my husband's load as well. Please pray for the Lord to intervene in all of this. I was awake early this morning praying for my husband and for that I am so thankful as it could have been much worse. He is in a lot of pain at this time. He loves the Lord with all of his heart and knows that even all of this is in the Lord's hands.  Judy

Gina

This is very unusual for me to come to a prayer line to request prayer. I am usually the one all the requests come to. I have a 21 year old son that is basically writhing in the mud. At 18 he began being very disrespectful not following rules... etc. So we forced him to go into the Air Force. He didn't make it. They put him out... for underage drinking, financial problems and not following orders.  He came back home we brought him in and tried to get him to get a job. This one didn't pay enough.. this one was too hard.. this one was too far away. We gave him the ultimatum to get a job or get out. The disrespect returned and we were forced to put him out. This has been going on for the last three years. My heart is broken into a million pieces and I am on the brink of emotional breakdown. My husband supports me and is a wonderful man we have the perfect marriage. The problem therein lies that when my son hurts me.. in order to protect me he goes overboard and the family structure begins to breakdown. I pacify my son to make up for things... you see the picture. So my son now roams from friends house to friends house... and is in severe turmoil. When he was born I knew that day that God had a plan for him. The devil is giving it his best shot to make sure that doesn't come to fruition. My prayer is that my son will hear what we advise....do whatever it takes to get on his feet and become a man, that my husband will be more compassionate and more loving instead of logical and strict, and that I can stand behind my husband and support him without coddling my son and keeping my heart in tact. We are starting to look for a church this sunday. We have one in mind. Please pray for intervention and the Holy Spirit to flood our hearts and souls and that my family can heal. I have a 17 year old daughter who is suffering as well because she sees the way he treats us and how he is failing.. she loves him but doesn't like him much and it is tearing her up. I know this sounds kinda rambling but I am so distraught. I know God has a plan, I just need peace of mind and patience to see it through!  Thank you so very much. God bless you for all you do!!! You are angels!  Gina

Wes King

I would like to request prayer for my husband( Wes King), he had emergency eye surgery Wed. and was very fortunate to have decided to go to the Dr., he generally never goes, but this time it was like he knew he had to go.  He had a severely detached retina and since he is self employed we will not have any income for about 6 weeks. Ask Father for healing and to know if he should return to the job he does. It takes a lot of physical labor. It is a scary time and we would like to know if he is to move into another field.  If this was Fathers way of getting him to stop for a while.  Thank you, Deborah King

Javier Zamor

"I am requesting prayer for a young man 12 years old. His name is Javier Zamora, he has a brain tumor that is inoperable. This young man is a friend of my daughter, going to the same school together or was. Javier did have surgery once to remove the tumor, but it returned. Javier has been threw so much already, chemotherapy, radiation, he's exhausted. His parents are very tired as well. His mother Mary lost another son to the exact same thing a couple of years ago, he was only 9 year old. To lose another would be devastating. I pray very hard to our father that he heals this child, and to bring back the joy to his parents. Lord Jesus Christ said if we believe and have faith like a mustard seed that it shall be done, I do believe that he will be healed. But I also need your help with your prayers. I see Javier healed and everybody is in awe because they know that there was only one way that he could survive, A miracle. I see him running and enjoying life and the things that where not possible. The Lord has seen our tears and heard our prayers and returned the life and excitement in Javier and his family. He will grow up to be strong and loving and be faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ. I thank God for this healing and will be forever grateful and will always serve him. Our God is an awesome God and has shown his power, Love, Mercy. Randy Mann."

David Salstrand

"Please pray for our friend, David Salstrand.  He is a 46 year old husband and father who had a stroke this past Friday.  His heart was considered a "dead" heart, functioning at only 10% efficiency, when he entered the hospital.  While at the hospital, trying to get his blood pressure under control and suffering from congestive heart failure, he had a massive stroke.  His life seems to be hanging in the balance.  We would covet your prayers for his complete healing.  In Christ, Beth"

UPDATE (5/1/2007): "I just wanted to give you an update on David Salstrand (I had sent a request for prayer for him on 3/28/07).  He survived the stroke and is now going through the great struggle of learning to talk again, not yet having any movement on his right side, and the hardships of 'coming back.'  Please continue to pray for his complete healing, for discouragement to be far from him, and for him to have his gaze fixed on Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of our faith.  Blessings. Beth."

"God bless you, I want you to come in agreement with me, that I will get a position at the Clayton County School System.  I feel God is leading me that way, I have filled out all the paperwork, and I need God to move on my behalf.  He has me in a holding pattern and I am trying to get free.  Come in agreement with me.  Thanks."

Sister Chenoor

"We are writing to urgently appeal for your prayers for our sister Chenoor, an Iranian sister. After fleeing from Iran to Turkey several years ago she has undergone traumatic treatment whilst seeking to get asylum to a safe country. Her husband Brother Hazhir managed to escape to Holland where he is in an asylum seekers camp and is in touch with our local Dutch brethren, who have visited and broken bread with him. Chenoor's family were arrested several times and beaten, as reported on previous Carelinks messages. Her parents, brother and sister recently arrived safely in Canada, but the authorities will not permit her to leave- even though UNHCR and Canadian Immigration have approved her case as genuine. Yesterday she was arrested by Turkish Police and is currently under arrest, threatened with possible deportation to Iran, which would mean torture and possibly death. We have been in touch with the authorities immediately and her fate is still being decided. We ask therefore for your prayers as a matter of urgency; both for her and also for her husband brother Hazhir, her family, and those at the cutting edge of dealing with 'the powers that be' over this matter."  To aid in your prayers, here is a picture of Sister Chenoor taken in 2006:

SISTER CHENOOR

We're delighted to announce further amazing response to the many prayers and petitions to UNHCR regarding our sister Chenoor. She has been granted independent refugee status at short notice, has been interviewed by CIC and accepted, and has even been given a medical check for her planned departure to Canada. Progress is also being made regarding the release of brother Hazhir / Esmail her husband from the refugee centre in Holland so that the family can be reunited in Canada God willing. Constant efforts are still under way and we do ask for your continued prayers. The family are all very appreciative for your efforts.

Wayne

Ron and Karen, I know this is a little odd, but I'd very much value your prayers as I seek to change jobs/careers.  I've been praying desperately that God would show me what He wants of me in this area.....and I feel like I'm getting no direction of any kind.  I know I don't know you guys, but I value your newsletter (and I see spiritual maturity there)...and would very much appreciate your prayers.  Feel free to share this prayer requests with any groups you're part of... that would be most welcome. God Bless You Both, Wayne Millheim (Atascadero, CA)

Mark & Roopa Khehra

I "would like to ask you and Karen to pray for my wife Roopa's complete healing from polio & severe scoliosis. We have been praying for Roopa's healing ever since we met 6 years ago, and even though we truly believe God still heals, we are very discouraged....she deals with extreme pain on a daily basis, and the medication she takes for pain gives her migraines. I guess the hardest part is feeling that if Jesus were here in Edmonton, I'd take Roopa to Him and He'd heal her right now, just like He did every time someone sick was brought to Him....just don't know how to make that connection....  Thanks & God Bless"
